I have one year teaching exerince in my village school.If child is struggling to intraction with others, in that case I will personally talk to with the child.I will make one of the active child to his friend. If he has any hesitation with mingling with others,he can interact with the active child or directly talk to me.I will take care of his progress until he become normal to interact with the others . I will him quetions to solve in the class to build his confidence.

This is an excellent approach. I wish you were my teacher when I was in school.
